Alex Fridman

JAZZ, BLUES, ROCK, POP GUITAR, AND COMPOSITION

Originally from Kazakhstan, Alex is a professional session musician, recording artist and educator who is based in Guelph and Toronto. Having studied guitar alongside Geoff Young, Bob Shields, Mark Ucci and many other notable Canadian musicians has allowed him to build a strong musical foundation. Alex got his formal education from Mohawk College and the University of Toronto. He now teaches guitar in both group/ensemble and individual settings.

His diverse background ranges from jazz, latin, classical, blues and everything in between! Furthermore, he brings to the table a thorough understanding of music theory, ear-training, tonal harmony and improvisational skills. These are vital musical components that will benefit players of any level.
